The Microsoft Soundscape app enables anyone to hear the physical world around them. It’s a powerful tool that reimagines how technology can enhance independence and mobility, and we built it with the help of Guide Dogs UK and San Francisco Lighthouse for the blind, organizations that empower the blind and people with low vision with technology, training and more. Throughout National Disability Employment Awareness Month, I have shared examples of how advances in technology can make a difference in the lives of the more than 1 billion people with disabilities around the world, and in this video, Amos Miller shows me how he uses the app to navigate our campus in Redmond.
