EdTech & Distance Learning

Technology plays an essential role in every aspect of human’s life, especially when learners cannot physically attend learning venues. EdTech is abbreviated from education technology. It is the application of ICT tools to classrooms for better and more inclusive learning experience. Not only to the classrooms, ICT can significantly impact students’ learnings, especially when teachers are digitally literate and understand how to integrate it into curriculum.

During the COVID-19 pandemic when classrooms were forced to be distanced, EdTech plays more important role than ever in maintaining the access to and the quality of education for more than 1.2 billion students in 186 countries. As distance learning should be carried out by institutions, involve geographic separation between students and teachers, connect them with interactive telecommunications, and have the potential to establish learning communities, ICT and EdTech is indispensable.
