As part of the Asia-Pacific Regional Review of Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, orderly and Regular Migration (GCM), we are pleased to invite you to this official side event to discuss child migrants and education in Asia.
Across Asia, millions of migrant children still struggle to access quality education, a situation made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic. This event will discuss both challenges and opportunities in ensuring that children on the move can access schooling in the region. It will also provide a case study from the Thailand-Myanmar border, focusing on how Thailand’s ground-breaking Education for All policy has been implemented in practice.
