One of the more disturbing stories to come out of pandemic distance learning is the story of Ka Mauri Harrison. Harrison is a fourth grade student who was facing expulsion because, during his online class, his teacher saw a bb gun in his bedroom.
Harrison’s punishment was reduced to a suspension, but it highlights the problems of confidentiality that have been opened up by online schooling.
